A big thanks from Lesley and I to you and Jason. We had a wonderful holiday and the arrangements worked perfectly, including the restaurant bookings. The only one we didn’t use was in Franschoek, as they have a new chef (Ryan) in the Rusthof and we ate there. As with all locations, the food was outstanding and we had a fantastic balance of activity and relaxation. We did a lot of walking, including the big mountain at the back of Franschoek and up/down Table Mountain via Skeleton Gorge (having spent a few hours at the Botanical Gardens). Wine was tasted, whales seen, exercise taken, sun enjoyed and we both feel very much the better of it, particularly as we missed a week of snow here! Our house is surrounded by at least 3 feet of lying snow as I write this.
So, an excellent holiday. We really enjoyed our first experience of South Africa and I hope it won’t be the last.
